A year ago, Google introduced Google Glass, a wearable device that allowed people to interact with Google’s services and make video calls on their smartphones.
The first year of the product’s life was spent mostly on testing.
Google says it had more than 600,000 users in 2015, but only about 3% of them actually used Glass in the first year.
That meant Google could measure usage on a “day-to-day basis” without getting to know a user.
But Google has since taken on more responsibility in that regard, taking on product managers, product managers are the ones that lead product initiatives, and Google is now working with product managers to make sure Glass users get the best experience.
The Glass team also works closely with developers, who are required to test their apps with Glass before they’re released to the general public.
And it’s also working with the hardware industry to make Glass more widely available, and to ensure it’s compatible with the right devices.
“It’s really important for Glass to be able to do what it needs to do, and we’re always going to be working to make it as compatible as we can,” said Eric Wollstein, Google Glass product manager.
“We have a long way to go before we can say, ‘OK, Glass is here.’
But we’re going to do our best to make the experience as seamless as possible for Glass users.”
For now, Google has made it clear that Glass is only available to developers, and there’s no “hard-and-fast” plan to make that happen.
The company has also launched a program called Glass for Education, which has provided developers with a limited amount of Glass functionality.
“You can start a Glass project today, but there are a lot of hurdles to getting it out into the community,” said Google’s David Drummond.
Google Glass is designed to allow people to take photos, videos, and other video content that Google can then analyze for content-rich ads.
For instance, Google can use Glass to see how the ads for a certain brand of car are appearing on mobile devices.
It can also measure the ads on the top of a video page, which will show ads with a different theme.
But it’s not entirely clear if Google has enough hardware to actually scale Glass into the mass market, and it’s unclear how many people will actually be using Glass in a year or two.
“If you have a product that’s getting really popular, you don’t want to be in a situation where you’re losing market share,” said Brian Wiedenkamp, senior product manager for Google Glass at XDA Developers.
“So we’re really careful about not losing market shares to any one device.”
The Glass community is growing, and that’s partly because Google has been working with developers to ensure Glass is compatible with devices it already has on the market.
The Google Glass app is now on over 300,000 devices.
And the company has launched a partnership with Motorola, the makers of Moto X smartphones, to develop a software package that will allow Google Glass users to easily take photos and videos with the Moto X. Google is also working on an SDK that will be available for developers to use to make their own applications for the device.
Google said it will begin accepting applications in the coming months, but it’s unlikely the company will release a Glass SDK in the near future.
Google has also taken a proactive stance on device security, releasing a new security update that will address a number of issues in the Android platform that have caused users to suspend and wipe their devices.
Google’s new security feature, called the “Backdoor Attack Protection,” will help users protect themselves by giving them the ability to revoke access to the Google Glass API when they are logged in.
Google also recently announced it’s working with security vendors to develop an app for developers that will let them easily upload their Glass app to the Play Store, the store where most apps are sold.
Google wants to be the one that makes the most of the platform and its user base, but the company says it’s still working on getting Glass ready for mass adoption.
Google told TechCrunch it plans to release Glass devices at the end of this year, but that timeline is subject to change.
