Atm Advertising, a Toronto-based company that makes ad technology for major retailers including Amazon and Walmart, has joined the advertising services group of the Canadian Association of Independent Business (CAAIB), a federal regulatory body that regulates advertising.
The move to join the CAAIB comes after ATM and the CAB merged in 2016 to form ATM Inc. and CAB Inc. Atm has been working with CAB on advertising solutions for the industry, said CEO Robyn Tarlow in an interview.
ATM had also been working closely with CAAib on a variety of issues including digital marketing, and its work is being complemented by a growing roster of partners, including Canadian online retailers, said Tarlows spokesman Ben Daley.
“We’re working with the CAG and CAABC to provide the best possible service to our clients,” he said.
The two firms also announced a partnership last year to bring the online shopping service to Canada.
The ATM deal with Cabbagel is expected to close in the third quarter of 2019, according to a statement from the two companies.
ATAB’s board will meet on May 21 to approve the merger.
