By Football Italian staff The football team of Manolo Gabbiadini has been fined by UEFA for using an advertising campaign featuring a “big head” to advertise a new football product.
The UEFA Anti-Fraud Committee’s ruling came on Tuesday.
It states the promotion of the ‘Santolà’ brand product is clearly inappropriate, but that the use of the image did not cause a breach of the rule, which stipulates that the images must not be “misleading” to the consumer.
It also states that the promotional image does not violate the rules regarding the promotion or dissemination of goods and services.
The “Santola” logo is used by the Manolo Giampietro-Gabbiads, who play at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
